Liver cancer
Cancer of the liver is very difficult to detect, and it is a major cause of death in Asia and Africa, with rising incidence in Western countries as well. 肝癌检查比较困难，这是亚洲非洲肝癌致死的主要原因，这中现象在西方国家也越来越严重。

Now, VIB researchers connected to Ghent University, in collaboration with research centers in Beijing and Shanghai in China, have developed a test to detect liver cancer in an early stage. VIB的研究者们联合Ghent大学，并与中国北京和上海的研究中心合作，研究出一种发现早期肝癌的检测方法。A small blood sample is the only requirement for the test. 这种方法只需一点血样就足够了。The new test enables accurate detection of liver cancer in over 50% of the cases for which previous diagnostic tests have not been able to provide a definitive answer. 这种检测方法能准确查出肝癌，准确度比之前的检查高出50%，以前的诊断检查都不能提供确切的结果。

